Reebok Japan and MegaHouse have collaborated to create the "INSTA PUMP FURY x Ghost in the Shell STAND ALONE COMPLEX." Based on Reebok's iconic high-tech sneaker, the "INSTA PUMP FURY," the design is inspired by the "Tachikoma," the thinking tank that appears in "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex." The design faithfully reproduces the Tachikoma's distinctive blue color, as well as the exterior coloring. The heel features an embroidered symbol of "Public Security Section 9" (commonly known as "Ghost in the Shell"), the counterintelligence agency directly under the Prime Minister to which the Tachikoma belongs. The upper uses a special material that reflects light in rainbow colors, reminiscent of the optical camouflage seen in the series. The insole is designed to evoke the image of the sole of the foot and the shoe linking in cyberspace, expressing the product concept of "shoes you ride." Only 500 pairs will be produced worldwide and will only be available at select stores.
